Abortion

Over 48 million babies have been killed by abortion in this country alone since it became legal in 1973. Abortion is the most common form of surgery on adults. Pro-abortion advocates argue that abortion is the freedom of a woman to control her own body. We see abortion as a matter of life and death.

When determining what is right and what is wrong, every Christian should look for the answer in scripture. His Word tells us in Psalm 139 that God stamped into our DNA at the very moment of conception, the uniqueness that makes us who we are; truly one-of-a-kind. The question of when life begins was answered in the passages of Psalm 139. Life begins at the moment of conception. Every stage of fetal development is just another stage of growth. We are the same person when we are old, when we are adolescents, babies, and when we were being formed in the womb. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord declares to each one of us that he created us with a plan and a purpose; one for good and not for evil. In Jeremiah 1:5, God anointed us in the womb to that purpose.

God has answered the moral question of abortion.

therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed;” Deut. 30:19
